Low Temperature Thermal Analysis

Distinguishing the thermal properties of a material assesses the physico chemical character of the starting bulk solution that dictates the processing conditions for freezing and subsequent drying in addition to predicting product behavior during processing.  The purpose of low temperature thermal analysis (LT-TA) is to quantify the thermal properties of the formulation using low temperature thermoanalytic methods.  These methods include simple electrical resistance measurements (ER), freeze drying microscopy (FDM), and low temperature differential scanning calorimetry (LT-DSC).   This activity provides significant data and warrants focus as a distinct step in the development process.
